QF8 recently refuelled in NOU.
Whats is QF/NOU practice during such a refuelling stop regarding the passengers. Are they allowed to deplane or does the aircraft refuel at a remote position and everyone is stuck on board?

I was on QF32 years ago when weather in SIN lead to a landing in KUL.
Aircraft was taken to a remote stand (in this case near the MH hangers) and the only person allowed off the aircraft was the captain.

Generally, in any diversion, the passengers remain on board. Time is of the essence, and the only people moving off the aircraft should be the pilots. If you do allow passenger disembarkation, then basically that's the end of the flight.
