Was due to fly on QF19 from SYD to MNL this morning but after hearing the news last night, I wasn't sure the flight will go as planned. No information on the Qantas Flight Status site as well as on SYD Airport. Decided to proceed to the airport to be told after an hour wait that flight has been "delayed" by 24hrs.

It will be interesting to see how QF packs all these passengers on tomorrow's flight given today's and tomorrow's load are looking like J0 C0 D0 I0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 E0

Will QF be running a normal QF19 as well as a QF19D tomorrow? Interested to hear your thoughts

Based on previous experience, yes, both flights will operate as the load factors to and from Philippines, while having dropped a bit are still very good for QFi and on top of that it's school holidays. Competitors PR and 5J are also busy. The number of nonstop flights between Oz and Philippines has hugely risen in the past five to ten years, amazing growth but little reported in the Oz media. Even the QF CEO recently acknowledged 'demand had increased' on the MNL route: he said this when trying not to announce cessation of QFi flights to and from PEK.

Looks like the QF19 scheduled on 14/1 (today) has been cancelled, whilst QF19 scheduled on 13/1 (yesterday) is still scheduled to depart today.

Thank you. Fingers crossed!

Also zero availability is likely a result of the disruption, not heavy loads. Doesn't make sense to sell a ticket you can't fulfil
