I have a flight booked with points for QF18 late last year for May using Alsaka miles from LAX to SYD for 4 people (using points from another airlines for the flight to USA). A couple of weeks ago, i was searching the Alsaka Website to see if any upgrades were available but noticed that QF18 was no longer there. I can still go into the bookings and the flight is there and i can go to the Qantas website and go to my bookings and see the flight. I did a search for the same flight on the Qantas site and other travel sites using money and the QF18 did not come up so I rang up Qantas to confirm if the flight was still happening. The lady on the phone said the flight was still going ahead and she did a search for a new flight and it did not come up for her as well and she said the flight must be full. I can log into my booking and can see there are lots of seats (over half) still avialable and i can change seats. She said it was odd but she could see that it was still going ahead. Is there a way to confirm with what is happening with QF18?, dont want to call the call centre again as its a long wait and also i dont think they would know. It just seems odd that they flight does not come up anymore even when paying for it and dont want a last minute cancellation and be stuck in USA with no return flight and having to find flights for 4 people.

It sounds like you've encountered the issue described in this thread:

'I have a flight booked with points for QF18 late last year for May' Your flight was booked in May 2021? Or your flight was booked last year for May 2022? Or your flight was booked for May 2021?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Hopefully they (Alaska) can organise with QF to get you on QF12 somehow.

It reads that they booked the flight late last year, for travel in May this year.

QF93 Mel - LAX 25 August looks like it's gone as well. Never going to get 2 business points seats again!
