QF website is a nightmare

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Having viewed the latest National Primary School English testing results - I believe the spelling level above is the average for the year 5 students in charge of QF web site coding.

Not everything on the internet is put there by programmers. There is a different between the application and the content, for example this forum and posts such as yours. Are AFF's IT responsible for your posts and the potential errors contained within?

QF clearly uses a CMS (content management system) in which the content as displayed above is written and published by people who have no idea about IT, probably marketing or sales people.

There I fixed that for you.

Happily wandering (back to my corner)

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

It's a Christmas miracle!
The Qantas website has become even more useless.
Now if you login you can only view your frequent flyer account.
If you view anything else you are logged out.

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Yep - constant logouts, directed to incorrect pages etc etc.

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Coupled with the even more hopeless VA website, particularly in regards to Velocity FF, does Australia have the distinction of having two of the worst airline websites in the so-called 'developed' world?

Some may argue Australia has the distinction, generally, of having the worse websites in the world!

(says somebody who has spent the last day trying to catch up on Australian news from the thewest.com.au, theage.com.au and news.com.au!)

But the QF is website is atrocious, basic user experience is disrupted. Form fields resetting requiring retyping, inefficient UI, results resetting to default display options etc. Very poor. Just what was expected & accepted back in 2003. In 2016 basic usability shouldnt be an issue.

People in the UK complain about the BA website but its significantly easier to use in almost all respects.

BA website is a dream compared with QF. They used to have similar functional;ity. QF has lost most of this in the constant QF-style enhancements
