QF website is a nightmare

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Also had the "Show All Bookings" when logged in to the QFF profile that didn't do anything, in fact nothing in that box including the 3 bookings shown would do anything. Had to open the activity statement link to get the old fashioned "Your Bookings" link.

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Anyone finding the modify button broken? It won't respond to any clicks.
How did that pass UAT?

The one that gets me the most is multi-city say 3-4 sectors and ok to select options for first 2-3 sectors and then crash on the last sector with fare not found or similar. It's a valid routing. I can price it over the phone yet the website crashes. Very poor.

May be related, but I can't do a multi-city booking to NZ with as few as 2 flights. Trying PER-AKL and CHC-PER but get an error

"System error. Please contact us for further information.(#4004)"

What sort of cr*p is this?

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Currently having an online chat with Qantas. Same problem making a multi-city with same error message. Made an identically structured booking online for May this year but obviously with different destinations and stopovers without any prob. At least now they are making the booking for me and not charging a points/fee. It's been a marathon. Two phone calls, with one dropping out. Multiple chats with different advice given each time. phew!

Just finished my chat and successfully made my booking. Only took 90 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Here's a new one.

Logged in to my QFF account and, although I have no current bookings, there is one showing. When I check, it's from February this year!

Again I ask "what is this cr*p?"

Now if only there was some sort of electronic point of sale web page thingy connected to a centralized reservation system where customers could select and pay for the flights that they wanted without needing the 90 mins of a Qantas employees time to do it for them, then imagine the savings that such a system would make in the costs of making and taking airline bookings!? It would revolutionize the airline industry and many others as well! Hmmm - we should definitely look into this!

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

My pet hate at the moment is when I search for award flights from the QF home page. After putting in all the search criteria I click on the "log in & search flights" button which prompts me to log in. I'm then taken to my QFF profile page and all the flight search information I've just entered is lost.

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

Anyone else finding you are logged out after 25 minutes even if you have been actively using the site?

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

I haven't been able to log onto the Qantas site using IE since the night they put the new branding etc on.

Call to QFF came up with 'can you use Chrome?'

<Yes, I know how bad IE can be, but still ...>

<snip>

Sounds like the time they had a tinker and the 'Book business' button (as it was then) didn't work. Never mind, business bookings aren't used that much are they? Not very important to the bottom line?

In fairness to Qantas, Virgin Australia suggested exactly the same thing to me this morning after I was unable to do something on their website using Safari!

I'm always fair to Qantas ... in a "simpler and fairer (TM)" kinda way ....

I have same problem with IE. Going via the Frequent flyer menu (instead of the front page) works for me.

That's really strange, because I use IE v11.447 with Windows 10 and haven't had any problems logging into the Qantas site.

Re: Qantas website - a bit crook?

I think this post is a complete waste of space. Everyone on this board knows about the Qantas web site. I am waiting for the thread "Qantas website marvellous" to pop up which would excite me no end.

It was (relatively) marvellous about 2 iterations ago. Sadly not the case now

I'm impressed by the lack of functionality indicating that the people who develop the website must never use it! Example, after completing online check in there is no link to return anywhere. Bizarre.

I complained and commented on that for a few months. For a while you could get out of it by clicking on a link to the app (or something similar). Then this got removed in the "upgrade". Clearly "we value your customer feedback and it is important to us" does not mean much

I'm on Win7; the kids who do the Qantas IT have probably never been exposed to it.

Come on Qantas... To not even use spell check is really quite shoddy.
