I realise this forum probably isn't the best way to get resolution to my problem but I haven't been able to get a response via official channels and neither has the TA we booked our flights through...

I'm in the process of completing a claim form with Zurich Asssist for delayed travel expenses and I'm trying to get something in writing from Qantas confirming that QF107 did not fly the LAX-JFK leg on the 9th Feb due to the imminent snowstorm affecting the US east coast.

A couple of people I've spoken to have said we should have got something when we checked in on the 10th but I received nothing apart from a revised itinerary (x5 pax) emailed to me only after having rung the US contact number when our flight details changed less than 24hrs before original check-in. (a period of mad panic ensued then)

Can anyone else make any suggestions? I'd try to PM RedRoo but my post count is too low to allow that...

EDIT: just noticed that this is my 15th post so I can PM after this...

If you count 'official channels' as having sat on hold on the phone to Qantas for over 40mins only to be told to fill in a feed-back form on the website site, then YES... it's been nearly 4 weeks since then and not even an acknowledgement email.
