QF to Jetstar connections

An annoyance.

Last minute flight booked today for today involves QF Sydney to Adelaide where I am presently typing this and Jetstar Adelaide to Darwin. (Where there been a derailment in Katherine, my final destination as one of the people investigating.)

Not being a Jetstar user I was first annoyed I couldn't book a bag through and have to collect and re check.

Now I'm annoyed I can't re check it straight away and head for a beer until the clock ticks closer to time due to 2 hours prior to take off not being reached.

Has QF reduced the number of flights to Darwin which is why I find myself standing around the Adelaide Jetstar check in and guess what, not many seats here either.

Why does QF book you through to Jetstar with out considering the customer comfort and service.

Anyway I feel better now sharing the love.

The only time I've ever flown on JQ was connecting from QFLink CBR-xMEL-NRT. Before JQ got 787s.

Booked via a travel agent because the internet wasn't giving me what I wanted.

Bags checked through, JQ boarding pass issued in CBR (reprinted to JQ stock at the gate in MEL). Even got the J Max bundle benefits on the 081 ticket.

They’ve cut a lot of timely ADELAIDE services throughout Australia in recent times. Our observation is Qantas but reckon JQ suffers the same.

The comment is always made about collecting bags if proceeding on a JQ flight. Beats me why they can’t be clever.
