QF to go A330 BNE PER next year

This has been delayed by almost a month as the A330 due to return to Qantas is still with Jetstar.

Also the QStreaming iPads will be redeployed to the A330s coming back from Jetstar that don't have in seat IFE. EBA-EBF and EBJ-K all will have Q Streaming.

EBQ is nearing completion of conversion back to Qantas and will shortly be off for a repaint.

EBK is also in the hangar in Brisbane being converted back to Qantas. It will be in service with Qantas about a week later than EBQ.

Wait. So in additional to determining whether or not an A330 has skybeds it will now be necessary to try to figure out if you're getting a non-seatback IFE aircraft?

Won't you be able to pick it from the seat map though?

The JetStar Source - JetStar Airbus A330-200 Seat Map = iPad IFE

QANTAS Airbus A330-200 36J/265Y Seat Map = In seat IFE, 2-2-2 J (Not the middle seat blocked)

QANTAS Airbus A330-200 42J/268Y Seat Map = The dreaded Domestic J Product (In seat IFE).

QANTAS Airbus A330-200 36J/199Y Seat Map = Skybeds.

They will be 2 2 2 going by EBS which returned some time ago now.

EBS and EBK have different products though. Will the space divider work for the millennium seats?

Playing these games with the 330's is nothing new - EBJ had a habit of following me around for whatever reasons.

Well I know how to tell a skybed A330 from a non-skybed A330 but how do you tell a seatback TV A330 from a non-seatback TV A330?

And without counting the entire seatmap, are these missing seats (not) found in a particular location?

From memory, EBJ (and I am assuming the rest of the JQ birds) have economy starting in row 23 going across the entire plane, where as the domestic config has the middle block starting in 25? and the international has it starting in 24.

I can remember this coming up when EBJ was the odd one out when EBM/N came online.

So the planes coming back to QF from JQ are A332s? If so, then the above might be a giveaway. I think only the A333s have a full row of Economy in 23.
