QF to buy out WA charter airline

If Network Aviation is set to be another arm of the Qantas Group, does this mean they'll adopt the QF livery/uniforms/meal service etc. etc.?

Interlining and interlining luggage allowances would be nice for the people on such routes.

I wonder if they'll still operate in a "charter" capacity or will they open up for commercial bookings? Mightn't matter, I guess, if most of the seats will be snapped up fast by the mining companies. I wonder if there will be a bit of a backlash or rejoice upon the ability to earn miles and status credits on these flights (if that does happen).

AFAIK, it is going to remain operating as at present, offering a service that is diffcult to meet with normal RPT services.

Two cringeworthy comments a passenger can make at checkin that lead you to believe he (very occasionally a she) may be heading straight to the bar & be a possible offload if things get really untidy are any sentence that begins with:

a) "I've just come in from the mines"

or

b) "I've been working offshore for the last 3 weeks"
