QF status credits on disrupted MH flight

Hello everyone!

Just wanted some advice before harassing the friendly QF folks.

I was booked SYD-KUL-DXB J class all MH. On the day of departure last week, SYD-KUL was a delayed departure to miss connection at KUL. MH rebooked me SYD-KUL (MH) KUL-DXB (EK) still J class although 5hr connection. The EK was NOT a QF codeshare option, I asked at the time.

I need the MH status credits to re-obtain QF Gold and being rebooked to EK will affect this.

Has anyone had success in a similar disruption situation (another Oneworld carrier?) in requesting QF to cough up the status credits and how you go about this given they are on different reservation systems?

Call QF and ask them to credit you the 'original routing credits' for the flights and you will get the KUL-DXB SCs.

I am in the same boat, with our flight from Paris back in January. Where the MH CDG-KUL flight was cancelled, and we got put on the EK CDG-DXB-KUL flight. We put in for missing point, but it came back as not found, so have been discussing with MH Enrich, which has been taking forever.
Should I continue with MH to get the points, or can I go directly to QFF?

Go directly to QFF - ask them for the ORC (Original Routing Credit). Give them the info that your MH flight was cancelled and you were put onto the EK flights by MH and not by choice.

Hi again,

I just wanted wrap this up. I used the suggested email option explaining my situation, QF rang me a few days later saying awarding the SC is fine but they need a copy of the EK boarding pass + etkt, I sent a PDF email back and SC were awarded today.

A slight negative point adjustment occurred but makes sense as the EK earn was higher than MH.
