My mother was trying to use the QF site to make a USA booking, and received an Apache error before finalizing or receiving any confirmation.

She tried again and received the same error a second time.

Now she has two identical bookings for the same passenger, same flights, different PNRs - and of course two charges to her credit card. However she had not received any single confirmation email from Qantas about either booking.

Has anyone had any similar experiences, and are QF going to still charge their cancelation fees in this instance?

Done something similar and realised my mistake when I received the 2 confirmations via email. Rang up straight away and it was fixed without any issues.

But how long did it take your mother to spot the error? If the flight(s) have been ticketed it may be harder to unravel.

I believe the errors happened in the morning but she only noted the credit card charges at the end of the day, add she hasn't received any confirmation email about either of the bookings..

I'll speak to QF on her behalf tomorrow morning..

Qantas has a 24 hour period where they can fix issues with no fees regardless.

My son was booking flights to Singapore the other night and a similar thing happened.
During the payment process an error came up, so he was in the process of booking the flights again and fortunately he noticed a confirmation of the booking on his email pop up just before he was pressing the process button for the second attempt.

Maybe a little glitch?

Well I've spoken to them, and within the 24hr period, and they've cancelled both fares at no fee. Perhaps it was a system wide glitch?
