QF selling 3 class as 2 class - why?

Qantas seems to be selling an increasing number of 744 3-class flights as 2 class - on some of the major routes - HKG/SYD, SIN/SYD etc.

Does anyone know why?

You would guess since they plan some 744 maintiance.
Better to sell as 2 class just in case.... nobody would be happy being bumped from F to J.
