Hi everyone,
I currently have Platinum status with both QF and VA and do a mixture of J/Y travel depending on a number of factors that are irrelevant to this post. What I do find slightly frustrating with QF however, is that when you buy a business class fare domestically, row 1 is blocked for Chairmans Lounge and Platinum 1 members. I know they need/deserve additional benefits over regular Platinums but i'm not convinced this should be one of them. Also, why does this policy not apply to International?
For reasons I can't quite explain, I dont have the same ill feeling with economy travel, other than perhaps I find it unfair that you both pay the same extortionate amount of money, and still get "sloppy seconds" until T-80 when the restriction is lifted. It is especially frustrating when you seemingly get treated better on partner airlines than you do with your home airline.
Thoughts?
