Hi all,

Just checked our booking from SFO to SYD QF 74 tomorrow, May 22 US time and noticed that our seats 14 A & B were not on the booking as were previously and when I called the local number they told me to dial reservations and the number they gave me 3 times was a dedicated travel agent number and it was closed. So I called QF in Australia (thank goodness for WP status) and they said that we were in 14 J & K the same seats as we were in on the way over but they were still not on the booking.

The seats are blocked out but the agent said we were listed as a request on them.

This seemed to happen after changing the SYD/MEL seats on the way home, is this a normal thing to happen?

Thanks.

Ok, so still in exit seats - I guess the flight has switched seating to Altea.

When did you notice 14A/B had 'gone missing'?

straight after I changed the SYD MEL flights from row 2 to 1, had a quick panic attack and went through the the previous motions and the Australian rep was very curt and to the point but said we had "requests for 14 J&K.
would confirming the flights tonight make sure we had them or wait till the morning?

The same thing happened on the outgoing flight QF 73 when I moved us up the front but the rep at home said we had our previously booked seats, we prefer the J & K side anyway.

Thanks

I presume you changed the domestic seating using t-80.

When you went through the previous motions - were 14A-K then unselectable? If so, it does seem strange.

Of course, being Exit rows, you can't get s BP using OLCI (although you may see what's allocated).

can't see what is allocated and forgot about the OLCI and The BP.

Is there a toll free number from here to Australia?

Is it within 24h of qf74 departure?

Our flight leaves in 28 hours and I called the local 1800 number and spoke to the lovely Sarah on HBA who let us know that we do have 14 JK allocated, boy is my Pino Grigio tasting a lot better now.
Thanks for your help and a thank you to AFF for the knowledge to attain WP status.
