Qantas, like many airlines, know what pax have historically paid for a ticket,

If QF monitor this forum, I just told them what I'd pay!

QF, feel free to pm me and ask for my QF number as I'd buy BNE-CNS (or V V) J for $399 every time. Or would you prefer me to fly JQ at $299 (into OOL) or worse still VA at $279? I do note QF has dropped their flex rate to $282, so VA must have been hurting them just a bit on that sector when they were up over the $300 mark..

VA should already know I'll buy as many J for $319 as I can get my hands on ... except there's no use them marketing to me as none of their emails (if they send any) actually get through to me, although I can possibly buy a carrier pigeon for them, if that'd be more productive than their IT dept! Let's face it, it couldn't be any less productive!

VA International PE looks to be on sale also, but J not.

I just double checked QF site for the stopover (muti-city) booking I made on phone and they are still pricing is $3k more than I paid over the phone on Friday night.

I got ADL - MEL J for Aud$409.
Booked few days back to fly Mar 17.
No partner. No one wants a pooch as a partner.
Not as cheap as Aud$399 but not as bad as Aud$699.

Yes, this was a different sale that was a "stealth" J sale on many domestic routes. separate to the companion sale discussed here.

(I myself booked about 6 : ) )

Now you lot are supposed to know that all "stealth" sales are to be reported promptly here on AFF!

(or did I just miss that thread?)

I may have been distracted booking a few runs - sorry!

anyway it finished on, I think, Oct 13. Was around for about 4-5 days.

I call it stealth as the fares were NOT announced via the QF "deals" page but just showed up, and was valid for travel in J domestic from Oct21-30jun17 - very very generous with some good fares, but only on certain routes (eg: CBR seemed to be untouched). I did see sale fares on MELPER/BNE/ADL?SYD but not OOL/CNS/TSV/DRW or some other routes. Fares I haven't seen for a few years. It was a bit of an odd sale really

Things must be slow and loads very light at the moment.

You'd think, except that the validity period of the fares was till 30JUN17 which suggests low forward bookings for the premium cabin (I mean lower than usual given the % of actually paid J seats on domestic must be pretty small) - also given the Premium Companion sale, including domestic, also launched during this time it must be a bit dire (the counter to that being the restricted routes of the sale, though there were a few $499 one way J seats MEL-SYD I saw but they were few and far between)

It was a rather curious sale anyway. I only heard about it through someone else stumbling across it!
