QF Platinum Recognition on flights

QF119 BNE-AKL yesterday. Guessing there were three of us in Y. We were all served by name by the CSM at meal service.
Strange that.
Normally in Y(D or I), as a P1, the CSM will come around and greet me and thank me for my loyalty and to let them know if I require anything just askšŸ™‚
Flying QF1 to SIN last Monday in Y, nothing😢

I've been paying attention to this when flying in Y since reading this thread. Have only done one long haul in Y, which was QF41 SYD-CGK in late March - no additional greeting (beyond the usual "Welcome back" at the door) or offers of extra perks but there was this handwritten card awaiting me at my seat (clipped to the seat pocket), which was a nice touch:

Service in Y on that flight was excellent so no complaints there.

On quite a few domestic and trans-Tasman flights there's been nothing at all... until today on QF164 WLG-SYD. I could tell on boarding that the CSM was a bit more switched on than others recently (I find those JetConnect crews very variable) and once we were at cruising altitude he greeted two passengers in row 4 (I was in 5) and then someone in the row behind me (P1s perhaps?), and seemed to be getting one of them a drink.

Shortly afterwards he appeared at row 4, and for the first time it seems liked some business class booze might just be a possibility for me behind the (non-existent) curtain at last. He greeted me and asked if I'd like a drink, but when I responded that some bubbles from up front would be amazing if possible he indicated it wasn't (I couldn't quite hear his reply, but it was clearly a negative), but said he had a chardonnay or (he thought) a rose sparkling... which sadly turned out to the be the coach class swill. And it really was swill - the worst wine I've had in QF economy for a long while, in fact it was borderline undrinkable without food.

So a nice gesture, I suppose, and I appreciate he made the effort but it was undermined by the terrible quality of the wine that day. And as amenities go, receiving a cardboard cup of cheap-cough wine about 5 minutes before the rest of my row received the same didn't make this Platinum feel all that special, though maybe that's just me - especially since one hears stories of others getting drinks from upfront. No idea what the official policy is supposed to be.

I suspect WPs don't typically get greetings on International any more.
I flew QF 11 and 12, and 1 (to SIN only) in April in J, and no greetings, but some other select pax were greeted.
In QF2 I was in F, and was in the loo when the CSM dropped off the incoming card. He was greeting all F pax.
Strange because I always get greeted on Ys that aren’t starting in Australia.

Starting from SIN, LAX, SFO, HKG, always been greeted. Last LAX-SYD was greeted at the door when they checked my ticket and then again at my seat before they asked what my meal preference was. Got food first asw.

We recently flew back home HNL-SYD ā€œday flightā€. The whY cabin manager made a point of offering something better to drink from the J cabin.

TBH, last year - same flight but 2 class A330, actually got better extra perks.
