QF Orders more planes!

Can't believe this has gone unreported by the media or even mentioned here but in the year where everything is supposedly so bad and at a time they claim they are too broke to purchase any new aircraft for international, Qantas quietly announced last week it has restructured and added to its massive A320 order. Not even mentioned on the Qantas media site!

What's really going on here? How can they still anticipate needing 99 A320's for jetstar given the current issues!? Must be way more to this story...

Anyone know anything?

As I read it the 21 A320neo's ordered replace the order for current model A320s so effectively its the same number of aircraft just more A320neos and less current model A320s delivered at a later date than the original delivery schedule.

The question is still valid as to where all these A320neos will go and what paint they will have. I don't think QF know yet either...

With the oldest 738's delivered back in 2002, unless QF order some 737 MAX, it's quite likely.
