QF Gold Baggage Allowance Experience with Malaysian?

Anyone had experience on short international flights with Malaysian using their QF/OW status for large baggage allowance?

I am looking at carrying around 40kg SIN-KUL on a connecting flight.

Are they good at honouring the OW quota or will they try and sting me for excess baggage?

I have flown Malaysian often and they are EXCELLENT at honouring OW status.
Whether on short flights such as KUl-BKK and KUL-HKT, medium haul such as KUL-DPS and KUl-HKG or long such as haul KUL-PER.
In my case Platinum but I am sure it will apply to Gold as well.

yes, they are very good at honouring OW rules. Even got a few op ups to J on their short haul flights.
