Hi. I'm travelling to LHR with wife, son and mother-in-law (on her first ever overseas trip). Thursday 25th Nov on QF29 dept 17:05 and sadly in Y.
I was hoping that some kind AFF-er might be in the MEL FLounge at around that time and would be prepared to guest one adult in for me to allow us some gentle luxury pre the ordeal.....if anyone can help it would be very kind....
cheers

Sorry can't help! Ooh...tough choice!! M-in-law or wife left outside F lounge . I suspect you will all get into the J lounge tho if you ask nicely at the door:idea:

Thanks kpc - no real choice (if I want to live)....we normally travel as a family unit and as son is 6 have had no probs with FLounge access for 1 x WP + 1.5 guests.....Have become accustomed to spending the couple of hours in transit from HBA to wherever enjoying a decent meal and some champagne. As you say, J should be ok if approached the right way...
cheers

Leave them both in J lounge and go to F yourself.
Nasty! :p

Do you all have to be together before the flight? The chances of finding another Platinum on QF29 that does not already have a guest is very slim. You could always try guesting mother-in-law and son into Business Lounge and take the wife into the First Lounge.

Thanks for the suggestions. It is definitely 'all or nothing' unless I want 2 weeks in the UK to be extremely uncomfortable.....
Not to worry - I'm sure we'll survive the J lounge...
