Hi everyone, as we are overseas at the moment and don't want to ring QF from here, how can we change a booking from Y to J for a return flight to Asia next year ONLINE ( if we can) and and approx how much would this be, the dates would be the same etc, thanks in advance.

You would certainly be able to make this change over the phone; not sure if it's possible online.

In my experience, you'll need to pay a change fee and the full difference between the fare you paid and the current J price as shown on the QF website. (You would think that Qantas would try and make this process as easy and cost-effective as possible to encourage more passengers to upgrade, but unfortunately it doesn't quite work that way with QF.)

Of course, you could always try for a points upgrade or hope for a Bid Now upgrade offer instead. But neither of those are guaranteed.

as we are overseas at the moment and don't want to ring QF from here,

Download the Keep Calling app so you can call Qantas.
Minimum amount you can load is US$2.00 and calls cost US$0.016 cents per minute to Australia from OS.
Keep Calling does not charge any ongoing fees and the credit never expires.
