Thanks to an AFF member, yesterday I learned of a QF sale for single seat domestic J (many thanks froggerADL), which results in BNE-CNS in J for $449.

To try to capture these (usually) short duration sales, some time ago I set up a QF Fare Watch for BNE-CNS. Imagine my surprise (disappointment??) when I received this email from QF just this afternoon ...

I've set up an alert on my phone (in the Qantas app) previously, and it's never notified me, despite the conditions definitely being met for one. Oh well.

So from my experience, I'd say the answer is No.

I get app notifications all the time - did you enable notifications in settings?

I can see it will work for qantas - gathering all that data about how much people are prepared to pay - i still don't see the net benefit to me - if i tell qf how much i will pay they can set their price accordingly, if i set a low price then I'll never get an alert.
