Guys I received complimentary MP Diamond via Centurion and would love to try QF F Lounges with Cruiserette.

Am VERY UNLIKELY to purchase QF F any time - but my understanding is that MP Diamond = OW Saphire = QF F Lounge entry if holding boarding pass for OW member airline - am i correct so far?

Living in Melb - suggestions please for weekend sojourn that will enable access to QF F Lounge outbound and inbound please?

Domestic / international - either is ok - do the QF F Lounges vary domestic / international?

Thanks in advance and apologies for asking so many questions.

I don't know anything about MP Diamond sorry, but F lounge entry requires One World Emerald (OWE) not Sapphire.

QF F lounges are only in the International terminals (SYD/MEL).

The only way to get access without actually flying out of the country is by taking a JQ35/JQ36 jetstar flight that leaves from the international terminal to fly a domestic leg.

MPD = OWE not OWS so you can gain access. You will however have to fly out of Oz on a OW carrier or use the DOM JQ option.

Or QF81 on tuesdays SYD-ADL or QF19 on Thursdays SYD-BNE.

I don't think that will work if relying on OWE status as JQ is not a OneWorld carrier. I think the OP would need to book a QF/CX etc flight in order to access the F lounge. Note that the access is different for QF WP.

...
MP Diamond is actually OW Emerald, so you'll have First Class lounge access before oneworld flights.

International only. JQ metal no good for access with MPD.

A cheap QF flight to NZ, say AKL will do it one-way (QF133 for a nice PM utilization) - but not for return, as the First Class lounge in AKL is nothing special.

QF19/81 is a bit cheaper.

The times for those are not the best. Afternoon/evening is a far nicer way to enjoy the F&B (With the All-Day-Dining menu) than morning flights IMHO.

Breakfast is nice once in a while, but my preference is lunch/dinner too.

WOW - what a fabulous response - so appreciative.

Yes I am based in Melb - international is no prob - AKL F lounge not so good huh?

Sing?

QF81 is an afternoon flight  (just) allowing for the all day menu sampling!

I don't think the Singas F lounge is that special.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

The AKL F Lounge is OK if you need to be in AKL, I wouldn't travel there to visit it though ;)
Likewise SIN. Why not do a trip to HKG and check out your new CX status there? F Lounge MEL in the evening and a mini tour of Wing/Pier/Cabin on the way back.
There's another thread regarding reno's at The Wing, the joint BA/QF Lounge is nothing special but has nice won-ton soup

It depends when "ALL" day dining is available - sometime I see it as being from 11am; other times noon.

With a 12:05pm scheduled departure implying a 11:25am boarding there's not much time if the former. :(

Spring menus say 12, with some items available on the breakfast menu from 11:
