Another quick question with this QF073 flight.

What booking class code do I need to keep an eye out for in regards to a Business Class FF redemption seat?

Had a quick search around and know what to look out for with paid flights and points upgrade requests, however I have a redemption flight confirmed in Y and want to change it if something comes up.

as at this evening seatcounter shows this:

ABCDFHJKLMNOQRSTVWY
499949980500000-2-9

Qantas Business class FF redemptions comes from U fare bucket. However, EF and Seatcounter etc do not show U availability.

I think you mean seatcounter, not seatguru :)

The lack of visibility of award seats is a little frustrating. It amazes me how much various airlines see the publicity of such data as a threat.

file51, you may need to look at FrequentFlyerFriend (FrequentFlyerFriend.com - Welcome) which will assist with frequent checks against the Qantas website for award availability.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Had 34A (front row Economy) allocated on QF73, only to discover in the past 12 hours that has changed to the back end of the bus.... 64K (ouch) (both H & J are taken as well)

Even though this has just occurred, no redemption seats are available in PE...

I am hoping that a J seat opens up either on the 5th or 6th where I will gladly exchange a few thousand points as a service fee to change my booking....

I phoned and asked why so far back, looks like they leave everyone who was allocated in the back section of Y where they are, and put the people who were in front behind them... I asked if status would help with getting a better seat, and they said no, as all seats forward of 63/64 had been blocked.

oh the pain... Just found out the aircraft will not have Premium Economy...

wonder what gives with the change???

I find this information given by QF to be very confusing.

They were due to substitute the aircraft, changed everyone's seat allocations and then did not go ahead with the aircraft substitution and left everyone with their new seat allocation? I would not be very impressed if this happened to me....
