QF/EK Premium Economy

Hi

Quick question - on an EK ticket, QF operated Sin-Bne. Want to upgrade to PE (eve of chinese new year, flight should be chocka, hopefully bumped to business) Qantas tell me to talk to EK, EK say to talk to QF/can't do. Is it possible to upgrade to PE, or will I be stuck in Y?!

I very much doubt it will be possible, you must be on the carriers metal to upgrade and EK don't have PE so their systems would not allow it.

I should clarify - I want to upgrade with cash - basically pay to rebook, not using points.

EK don't sell PE fares (AFAIK), so what are they supposed to rebook you in?

I know this. Qantas reckon EK are authorised to sell PE fares, Emirates reckon they can't and can only sell business and first class. I was wondering if anyone had an experience to confirm either spiel from the airlines. Sounds like no.

This is one of the big problems, IMO, with QF/EK tie up. The lack of compatible products.
