Hi All,

I'll soon be on my first F journey on a QF ticketed trip- MEL-DXB-CDG on EK metal and return CDG-DXB on EK metal and DXB-MEL on QF metal. I usually fly Star Alliance, and have no OneWorld status, nor have I been to the QF F or J lounge or the EK combined lounge. As such, I would like to get some advice or hear your experience with regards to the following re: MEL Departure circa 9pm.

I have booked the complimentary limo service - will there be a curbside meet and greet at MEL for QF F passengers on EK?

What are my best options with regards to Lounge access? I believe the QF F lounge closes at around 5pm (is this correct?). This leaves a choice of QF J lounge and EK lounge.

Which is the better option for dinner? (I'll be heading straight from work and won't have time for dinner beforehand).

Anything in particular to look out for in the DXB F lounge?

Looking forward to your input! Thanks and cheers, MrMNJ

The QF lounges both close fairly early, the J lounge at 1800 Mon and Wednesday, 1830 other days while QF F is 1730, that leaves little choice.

Hasn't Qantas recently expanded the opening hours of the J lounge (as mentioned by the OP) to allaign with the last EK flight?

I was going off the published hours on the website, it may be out of date!
