ShhhThey failed![]()
it's a time thing mostly. As I am a contractor, I don't get paid for leave. I already have 5 weeks in Europe coming up, potentially 2 weeks in Bhutan. I can tell you now people get jealous, despite the fact I'm not being paid! It's like driving to work in a Ferrari wearing a Rolex
well done, that's not easy to find.Well, in the end, I managed to find a half decent PC+ CR status run from CBR in September.
Business Class CBR-SYD-BNE-MKY R/T for 58,000 pts and $500, giving a return of 224 SC.
Yep, my bad math. But still pretty good.I dont think this is correct I think it is 216:
CBR-SYD(18) + SYD-BNE (18) + BNE-MKY (18) = 54 SC * 2 = 108
seats.aero helped.well done, that's not easy to find.
I have seen that routing quite a few times especially when booking close in.Interesting routing option offered for a Classic Reward to London

Closer to date, you also often see connections via Tokyo -- it's a long track...Interesting routing option offered for a Classic Reward to London

I wouldn't do it even if they paid me at present...I wouldn't do it in any class at present...
That might throw a few spanners in the works! Here is the reply from Qantas about Points Club status credits - they are NOT doubled so beware. I was very specific in my question so I reckon this is right. It is REVENUE fares only. I am glad I haven't booked yet.
Dear Wombat,
Thank you for contacting Qantas Frequent Flyer regarding the Double Status Credit offer and whether it applies to Classic Flight Rewards booked by Points Club members.
We appreciate your interest in maximising your rewards. As outlined in the Qantas Twice as Rewarding Terms and Conditions, Double Status Credit offers are only applicable to eligible paid flight bookings. Classic Flight Rewards, which are redeemed using Qantas Points, are not eligible for Double Status Credits under this promotion.
For your convenience, you can review the full details of the campaign here:

Thank you for your loyalty and for being part of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
Kind Regards,
Eugene
The info you received is completely inaccurate unfortunately. Here is the reply from Qantas about Points Club status credits - they are NOT doubled so beware. I was very specific in my question so I reckon this is right. It is REVENUE fares only. I am glad I haven't booked yet.

No way would I transit the US and I have a visa...
Please don’t the info is wrong.I wouldn't do it even if they paid me at present...
That might throw a few spanners in the works!
I will have to go back and check the terms of the QBR DSC offer from late last year now...
The info you received is completely inaccurate unfortunately.
DSC will be applied on QF flight metal Awards for PC/PC+ booked during this promo.
Everyone should ignore this email.
“Eugene” needs a bit of training.
It doesn’t refer to paid fares. But where does it say that in writing. It just talks about eligible fares which then refer to paid fares. That is why I questioned it. Do you have it in writing anywhere? I won't ignore until I see it in black and white.
You won’t get it clarified as the email advice is useless.OK sounds promising... I still don't know if I'll risk it as I need those SCs and this is going to be my last chance in this membership year with all the other non-double travel I have booked! I guess it is too late to get reclarification before the booking deadline.
Settle - all good. I'm only going by an email I got from Qantas. I'll sign off this thread...
And the chances of QF11 being very late...What? I am talking about transits. Have you ever seen LAX immigration that you have to clear... Travel reality.
If you’re on one ticket, you’ll be rebooked. No probs. And the chances of QF11 being very late...
Speaking of rebooking. Can anyone recommend a movie that is often the subject of schedule changes months in advance, which I could buy tickets to now and change to a perhaps more interesting screening without further fees?If you’re on one ticket, you’ll be rebooked. No probs.
