Domestic customers are enjoying more generous portions, fantastic quality, more choice and a more streamlined service as a result of renewed investment in our food and beverage offering.

Here are some of the exciting new initiatives we’ve been working on:

In-flight:

• Economy passengers travelling on medium and short flights can now enjoy our delicious range of hot and cold gourmet dinner packs. With more substantial portions (up to 50% more) and a greater selection of menus customers can expect a higher quality meal and service standard.
• Bringing restaurant style experiences to the sky, business customers can now enjoy a fish of the day meal option fresh from their departing port as part of their Neil Perry designed menus.

On the ground:

Qantas Club members will love:

• Our expanded hot breakfast menu offering a choice of boiled eggs, baked eggs and frittatas to accompany their choice of bakery and sides.
• Our hot snacks service in the afternoon which is set to be a firm favourite at the end of the work day with seasoned sweet potato fries, empanadas, and mini meat pies just some of the delicious treats on offer.

In our Business lounges we offer:

• A ‘Diner’ style snack each weekday afternoon where our guests can enjoy freshly made taco’s, sliders and pulled pork rolls with a cold afternoon beer or glass of wine.
• As we approach summer, Business lounge customers will also enjoy our new gelato of the day.

New Beer taps being installed across our domestic network of lounges will ensure customers get the freshest coldest beer on offer with a selection of delicious premium, local, imported and regional beers available.

We also recently introduced a number of initiatives to ensure our customers on the go enjoy a streamlined travel experience:

• A new sleep tight service for those looking to maximise their sleep on late night economy flights will get uninterrupted rest time thanks to a new refreshment pack containing everything you need to get you through the night.
• Our all day dining inflight menu will satisfy business customers on the move with the option of a fantastic premium cheese box, a big bowl of soup or a wholesome substantial salad plate allowing customers to tailor meal time to their schedule.
• A new grab and go breakfast option in our Qantas Clubs is perfect for early morning travellers short on time, enjoy fresh fruit, juice and freshly baked muffins along with your favourite barista made Vittoria coffee.

Can vouch for the J lounge dinner snacks though on the short hop MEL - CBR its just the usual version of cheese, crackers and a dip in increasingly extravagant packaging
