QF checkin times SIN and booking linking

Happy Easter to you all!

In May I am flying from MEL-SIN then a few days later SIN-MEL (QF36 dep 21:05).
Now I have a relative of mine arriving in SIN at 9am and then flying on QF36 in the evening on a seperate QF ticket, my relative would already have her BP and through checked bags and she doesn't fancy going for a SIN daytrip.
What is the earliest I can enter the airport (QF website says 6 hours prior to dep) but are there any other ways to checkin earlier, (other than OLCI) I have bags to checkin and am QF WP.

2nd question can I link my QF booking with my relies QF booking evening though she is coming from different originating port but we will be on the same QF36 to MEL, just so it helps with her seating choices (She is only QF NB).
If it can be linked does this present any problems with OPups, as in does it prevent you from getting one if you're linked to someone, or if you do get one, do only one of you or both get OpUpd? The flight I am booked on is a A330 and Y is quite heavily booked and J virtually empty so chances are good.

I've checked in in the morning for a BA flight to SYD which leaves around 7pm form memory with no issues. There's a counter for early checkin but your mileage might vary.

As a Oneworld Emerald you may be able to use SATS premium check-in.

Qantas offers early check-in at SIN:

"Early check-in is also available from 1000 to 1400 at Row 4 and 1400 to 1700 at Row 5."​

Check-in is located on the depatures level, Terminal 1.
Check-in opens 6 hours before departure until 45 mins prior to each flight departure.
Economy check-in for Qantas flights is available at row 6.
Check-in for First, Business, and oneworld Emerald passengers is available at Singapore Airport Terminal Services Premier Check-in at the end of row 4.
Check-in for Qantas Club passengers is at row 5.
Early check-in is also available from 1000 to 1400 at Row 4 and 1400 to 1700 at Row 5.
