QF Chauffeur Drive Rollout delayed for JFK, JNB & SCL till 2014

The title says it.

I have been able to book from home to & from airport, but not JFK / JNB to & from hotel.

Made the bookings for transfers in Australia a couple of weeks ago soon after they appeared in my bookings, & have been awaiting the destination ones. Seeing it is almost July 1st I phoned & was told about the change in rollout & new time frame.

Now that NYC, JNB & SCL have dropped off the lists on the QF website for Available destinations, ( not sure when they did drop off) I'm not going to try to vary the domestic pickup times I have in place, in case they then don't stick!!

The flight reservations were made around 6 months ago.

I can see this has now become available to book for my J flights to LAX in November. Can I order 2 separate cars for the 2 people in the booking or will they pick someone else up without extra charge? My daughter is travelling with me (we are both in J) and she lives pretty much on the way to the airport from my place. We are certainly both within the mileage restrictions for Melbourne - I think its 60kms?

My understanding is that each person with a J/F booking has access to a car.
And my experience has been that to pick up someone on the way - only a couple of blocks diversion - is also fine.
Also, another time I asked the Chauffeur company if we could pick up 2 extras with hand luggage only, who were maybe 10 minutes extra driving, and again it was fine, with an additional small fee & co-pay at a very reasonable hourly rate, prorata, to be settled with the driver when we saw what the extra time / mileage was.

Each time I have spoken to them they have been agreeable to discussion & modification of plans. Sometimes slightly different answers when I ring back, but overall still agreeable & flexible.

When my request has been a bit different, a frequent answer I have received is to "discuss it with the driver". Who is always ok provided it's not an outrageous request.
