I know I'll be kicked for asking this, but am I correct in reading the QF website as meaning I can take as many pieces of checked luggage as I like, as long as it doesn't exceed 30kg total? Plus a further 7kg carry on + a laptop carry on (in slim case)?

I'm QF NB flying full fare Y BNE-POM on a QF codeshare operated by PX and ticketed this week.

One hundred and ninteen views and no one able (or willing) to say yes or no. Now I'm unsure whether it's a totally stupid question unworthy of response, or a curly one that many are unsure of.

FWIW, I have looked at QF luggage pages and I do believe my allowance is now 30kg regardless of number of bags, but as I don't generally travel with much luggage, I really don't want to turn up and be hit with an excess baggage bill! I believe it use to be 1 bag @ 23kg, so to me it seems like I've gained an extra 7kgs with the changes earlier this year.

Can anyone confirm or deny?
