QF award Interlining with EK

Have booked a QFF business award ticket from Cairns to London via Brisbane. Cairns to Brisbane is Qantas them Emirates thereafter.

1) Will Qantas provide boarding passes through to London when I check in at Cairns or will I have to check in with Emirates at Brisbane International? This goes for bags also. Do I need to collect at Brisbane Domestic and take to Brisbane International?
2) I have a 5 hour layover in Brisbane. Will Emirates be open to check in if that is what I have to do? Everything I can find says they open 3 hours before departure. What do I do for 2 hours? If I am checked in all the way to London, I'm thinking I'll be able to access Brisbane International airside and use the Qantas Lounge until the Emirates lounge opens.

If this is all on one ticket, your bags will be checked from Cairns to London and boarding passes issued in Cairns. So when you get to Brisbane, just change terminals and head up to the lounge. (The Emirates Lounge may not yet be open when you arrive, in which case you could use the Qantas lounge as you say.)
