Qantas is close to clearing a major hurdle to the delivery of a fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft after striking an in-principle agreement on a new wage deal covering about 1300 long-haul pilots which includes an 18-month wage freeze.

I read that, and was intrigued ... and encouraged.

But amazed that such a major capital choice would be dependent on such an opex scenario. Not sure I can believe it, TBH.

I took that to be working out the Opex, meant they have decided the capex.
