Was trying to book to J Reward seats syd-lax this morning, after being ready to press refresh at 10am we still somehow missed out on 2 J seats syd-lax, we did however manage to get two seats Syd-Bne-lax(qf 506 and qf 15) for the day before.
when getting to seat selection we had available row 3 or row 15, we choose row 15, thinking it would be quieter upstairs but now wondering if we should have chosen row 3 downstairs as it is also only a small cabin. Would love your opinions.
Also, I assume it is the new lay flat beds on the route?
Thanks for your help

I prefer upstairs as a couple. Quieter in my opinion, more personalised service. Row 11 is the most private if you can get it.

Should be Skybed mk II yes, but the odd 744 with mk 1 are still floating around (correct me if I am wrong?)

Agree.

However, row 3 should also give you a small cabin feeling. In addition, you might get an aircraft substitution and score F seats.

I would take a punt on row 3 given your situation.

For me, Rows 2 & 3 or upstairs are all good for couples, with a personal preferenence for upstairs

Thanks for your opinions so far.
im flying with my best friend and our husbands are flying over the following week together. So don't need to be romantic!! Wondering what the chances are of a F substitution aircraft, particularly being April next year??
