I am giving Qatar a try in May - 4 legs on Qsuites. don’t know what they will be like, but they look closer to the mini First that Joyce was boasting about for his “Dream”liner. Looking forward to flying out of Canberra - even though you stop in Sydney, it’s a lot easier than worrying about connections and fog and cancelled flights out of Canberra. Qatar was certainly not cheap, so I don’t know what the issue is with price.
Are you travelling as a couple? I travelled in Q suites recently. If a solo then make sure your seat is either any window, or the Q suite facing forward. Nice planes.

My experience as a couple is you had to call to select middle seats.
She is a single :) I have only had one experience with Qatar when we went CBR-JFK return. (All Qsuites). My TA selected our seats, but I could certainly view and change them. We did book really early though, so maybe almost all the seats are taken. I will update after she phones.

I’d ring.
Yes I have told her to and given her a long list of seats to get in order, but at this point she might not have any choice. Still whatever she gets it will be better than her normal economy :)

When Dr FM checked in today she was asked if she would like to move to 2B which of course she did. I wonder if they have had a lot of cancellations?

So just checked these flights due to all the QF changes and notice my selection of 3K on the A350-1000 has been changes to 3A - guessing someone with higher status bumped me :(

Yep so I am not concerned, just thought it was an odd change, given this.

Been checking aircraft regularly as so many chnages a foot.
It is strange - but at least it’s not a bad change :). Dr FM was in raptures over Qatar and plans to only fly them in future when she can afford J :)
