Hi there, I'd really appreciate some guidance on which airline between Qatar and Emirates offers the best QFF points. I have just spent the last few hours on the Qantas website and simply cannot find the answer to that simple question hence asking here. Fingers crossed that someone can help me with a definitive response. Thank you!

Welcome to AFF.

I'm not sure I quite understand your question. Are you trying to decide whether to book a Qatar Airways or Emirates flight, and which would earn you the most Qantas points?

If you are after comparative QFF earn rates flying those different airlines, the QFF points calculator is here:

Hi there. Welcome. If I was flying with those airlines I'd NEVER put my points into Qantas because it will be IMPOSSIBLE to redeem them for anything other than toasters.

A little hyperbole goes a long way ... !!

One only has to look at the QF Upgrades Success of Failure thread to see that it is possible to redeem for things other than toasters however without status redeeming for Classic Awards in Premium Cabins - especially on popular routes can be very difficult.

One thing Rooflyer didn't highlight in their post - and something to consider in the EK v QR comparison - is that quite often you can purchase an EK flight with a QF Codeshare flight number and IME for the same price. This will not only gain QF points but also Status Credits - and at a far better rate than QR. It was a regular Y commute to CDG using this that initially earned me WP up from SG and access to those rare J Classic Awards.

Regards,

BD
