Qatar Airways will focus on building its agency network, recruiting staff and opening a Sydney office as it begins preparation for flights into Sydney and Melbourne at the end of the year.
The moves follow the long-awaited announcement that the Doha-based carrier will finally
begin operating into Australia almost two years after it was first granted daily flights into
Melbourne. No specific launch date has been set but services are expected to start in November or December.
