Hi QR frequent travellers

A question that is surprisingly hard to answer thanks to QR’s wonderful website!

Does anyone know if QR’s A350’s have bassinet seats in J?

Can’t seem to find the answer... seat guru also does not have any seats marked as bassinet seats.

Well this link seems to say they are available in all a/c except for First Class in the A380 but it does say to "Please contact your local Qatar Airways office to request a bassinet seat in advance." and that could cause you some pain.

There is also a QR seat map of the 'older' A350 fit out saying that bassinets are available but to book them when making your reservation. It doesn't shown any bassinet seats as such.

Thank you very much - I also found those.

But nothing on what actual seats are bassinet... it’s very strange, every other airline has seat maps etc to show where they are.

I have also emailed Qatar directly, just thought might be first hand knowledge on here.

I thought it was probable that you had run across them but posted them just in case. Having to deal QR's head office on a minor matter once I don't envy your situation

For A359 Qsuites it lists the bassinet seats as 8B/J.

There may be similar threads for non Qsuite aircraft.

Yes they do. My baby grandson had his first flight in one last Christmas. The one before 2020 . It was an award seat and his mum called Qatar to secure it. From memory it was towards the rear, an aisle seat. But they sure exist. They just don't show up on all the fruitless searches I did on their behalf.

My experience with calling the QR AU number for seat selection has been pretty painless with minimal wait times.

As others have said, their A350s have both Q-suites and the previous generation J seats (although I think perhaps all A350-1000s might be Q-Suites, but don't quote me on that). My experience though with QR is endless aircraft and therefore Q-Suites to regular J seat changes. Just keep an eye on this.
