Qatar Air Privilege Club Restricts Redemption Nominees

Just flown and credited to Priv Club , deleted wife’s account and let’s see how long it takes. Booked 1 flight on avios - the second comes up double the number of avios - so hopefully it will fall back once all the hoops have been jumped through h

Argh. Was just about to book Europe flights for 2027. I’ve never credited any points to QR before but flown QR J using reward seats a number of times now.

If I book a quick flight on VA BNK-SYD and put down QR PC for the points, how can I confirm I will earn Avios for that flight?

Attempted to change from Velocity to Qatar at the self check in kiosk at MEL - there is an option and it accepted my number. However, it didn't work so I had to seek assistance from Joe, who was super, super helpful. He did a manual change and now my boarding pass is showing Qatar. Let's see if they post to my PC account.

AI says it has a Qantas domestic flight has to connected to an overseas QR flight. I’m thinking of changing my Jetstar Bali flights to Garuda, as I can’t book two QR Avios flights to Europe until the Friends List is unlocked.

EDIT: I just spoke with a QR rep who said Avios earned on Qantas won't count for unlocking Friends or My List as they are not a partner airline. Also, she said to be very careful booking Lite or bargain flights on some of these airlines, as many of the bottom ticket classes do not credit Avios. It's hard to see the ticket class until you've actually booked and been ticketed.

Yes, it’s a well known issue that you can’t earn QPoints or Avios on stand alone QF domestic flights.
You can’t earn QPoints however you can earn Avios on VA domestic flights

I flew on the weekend on VA, it took just over 24hrs to get a notification from the QR app that Avios credited, I could then add my wife and kids back to my list, I did select *choice fare* on VA

I sincerely apologize. However, only the co-branded partners listed above qualify for this eligibility requirement.

If you do not hold one of the eligible co-branded cards, you will need to earn Avios through an eligible Qatar Airways flight or a qualifying partner airline transaction in order to meet the criteria.

I dont think this was very well thought out was it

Just now. Delivered

also now u have to put a qantas flight into an account so u can ad the stupid list so u can use points that you have in the account its outrageous

You have to take a flight with Qatar Airways or any partner airline and accrual the points.
