Please fly one to SYD... Their inflight service is so much ahead of others (although perhaps, is a bit unpolished) that I actually try to connect to MEL to fly to Europe via DOH if the scheduling is viable.

Fingers crossed this is doing the PER - DOH route come June.

Wasn't it QR that said that they won't fly to SYD until they drop the curfew?

Maybe the wrong thread but here goes. How do you search availability on Qatar? I have joined the programme but can't see availability due to zero points. Over to the Brains Trust....

Like MH bookings, you may need to phone the QF service centre.
We travelled in J on the third day of the new QR A380 service, it was very impressive.

I'm trawling for QR J award flights ex MEL also.

1. QR site (I am program member and have some points, but low amount and no status) - it lets me search (but no further) and I find MEL-DOH direct flights available.

2. BA site (logged on), for same dates, it only gives my via QF to PER on way over and via KUL on MH on the way back

3. Qantas site (logged on), for same dates, no direct flights, but a number of combinations through PER and Asia both ways. On other dates it has given me choices on EK to DXB and onto DOH :)

... maybe QR site wants you to have at least 1 point? But I got availability with points in the account, but not nearly enough to make a booking and in fact it wouldn't let me progress beyond the search (and found) stage.
