Qantaslink premium hand luggage

I have used the Qantaslink premium hand luggage service on a number of occasions when departing from regional airports and been issued with my baggage tag at the check-in area. I am flying tomorrow SYD-TMW and would like to know if the premium hand luggage tag will be issued at the gate or if it's necessary to sort this out at the baggage drop desks?

Depends on weight of the bag…rules here. Though I’ve never been pulled up on QF, unlike Rex which police weights heavily at check-in.

Checked in bags at Tamworth appear pretty quickly.

Good point. Given the current dramas with baggage handling I am keen to keep my bag with me until the last possible moment. Otherwise it will be a trip to Target Country for emergency supplies upon arrival at Tamworth!

If you're on either QF2002 or QF2014 you'll have time to get to Target.

But if you're on QF2006 probably won't make it.
