The Queensland network has been most affected with Boeing 737-400s substituting to ROK and 717's to MKY.
Blast!! There goes the tarmac bus trip in BNE for next Wed.

I heard through a third party that at least one Q400 normally used for a mine charter has been reassigned to QLD, resulting in a 734 for the charter instead.

Was wondering how they were going to service ROK-GLA-BNE legs with 734:confused:

GLA has been serviced by the 300s this week, as they were when the airport runway was being worked on, better alternative than chartering a Virgin E Jet.

Bombardier: 60% of Q400 inspections completed, less than 4% require repairs

From ATW Daily News:

Bombardier said 60% of 222 Q400s it has directed airlines to inspect have been examined, adding that less than 4% of the inspected aircraft have required repairs.

It is only 5 aircraft across the fleet, and there were at least 5 operating out of BNE this morning.
Article in Plane Talking relating to Alliance F100 filling in for ROK Q400 having the aviation equivalent of a cruciate ligament.

QF2231 SYD-WGA last Friday evening was substituted for a DH8C again, but same flight number and a DH8D in flight info.

I noticed the change during OLCI on Thursday evening, when I could select something forward of row 5 for a change - I didn't notice the absense of rows down the back, I don't normally look there ;)

My bookings still show Q400 both ways so watch this space ...
Just noticed on OLCI that the Q400 has been removed with no alternate specified.

Still seems to be showing the Crash8 seat layout tho - row 5 shouldn't get me into trouble if a F100 shows up.
