In that regard, I recall whilst in the US in 1994 from memory that two cabin staff stitting in the rear seats on takeoff suffered serious leg injuries on an MD airraft with rear mounted engines, when one of the engines let go.I would never choose to sit within the arcs of any of the stages of an engine.
