Qantas must be desperate! Fabricated a story about mom and son flying together for the QF group when in reality they are employed by two different companies:

‘Qantas group” is what’s used to cover the fact there are multiple companies, in this case it’s NJS and one of the cabin crew companies, and while they may have flown together I doubt they worked together!

Right so what you're saying is that they do, in fact, work for the Qantas Group which is a group of companies all owned by Qantas.
This appears to be the only basis for claiming the story is fabricated.
Therefore, the claim of fabrication is complete nonsense since, as you agree, the qantas group is multiple companies and they both work for companies in the Qantas group.

Second A220 flight over the weekend. First flight I sat in 4C this flight 4D.
I'm going to nominate 4D has the worst seat on the plane because:

• Start of difference configuration section - stuck in the middle of the aisle.
• Business class seat configuration means only a small gaps under the seat in front, too small to fit a back pack for example.
• Limited overhead locker space due to the second port side locker, above (what?) row 2AC, is completely unavailable due to a life raft.
• Overhead locker space is at a premium for the 10 business seats because of the life raft as well.
• Carry on only flyers are likely to have hand luggage in lockers over rows 5 to 7.

The positives of 4D are good access to the aisle and good leg room.

The "D" seats in business will have the same problem with under seat space. 4F has useful sized space under the seat in front, the same is likely true for the Business F seats.
I'm going to say that carry on only flyers in business will have the least hassle (or most options) in 2F and 3F. 2C likely has available under seat space.

It is preferrable to the E190, where I had 2A on the weekend. But prefer the port side in economy on the A220 and don't mistake 4D and 4E for good seats due to being labelled "economy plus front"
