First flight on Friday evening BNE-MEL. I was in 2A and bAlt in exit row 12C (?).

Wifi - it was hopeless in J. I gave up after multiple tries. bAlt said he had no trouble streaming Netflix for the whole flight. Bizarre.

Comfort - bAlt of course had acres of space and said his seat was comfy. I was disappointed with the J seat. The seat seemed smaller than the old recliner in a 737. Less room between me and the seat in front. Maybe it was just perception.

The CSM was frazzled. He had a couple in 1A/C who started demanding drinks from the moment the seat belt sign went off. They were horrible. He eventually cut them off. Service took a long time. The CSM explainied that the trolley appeared to have tipped over and all meals had spilled and he was cleaning bowls as he served. Also said that the galley is very small and only one crew can work it.

So far after my one and only trip not a fan.

No neither am I, and now try and avoid them. I'd rather fly CBR-MEL on a Dash-8 than a 220 (and I've booked such). I do like the Dash-8's, but that's another story.

My one and only flight on a 220 in J was awful. Like you I was in seat 2A and thought it was cramped and claustrophobic. That was before the person in 1A fully reclined their seat for the entire flight and left me with virtually no space at all.

It was quite hard to even eat a meal in that situation, which is a joke if you've paid for J.

I thought the CC would have asked that passenger to put his seat up for the meal service?
