Playing catch up here. For those with a membership year ending 30 November, does this mean you get no rollover credits yet need 1400 now to maintain WP? If so, that seems to be at the wrong end of the stick.

We started a new year on 01 Aug, so 1200 retain WP but the email said we can rollover SCs above 1400….could my target for current DSC offer….

Rollover (without PC+) starts in December according to Qantas but for practical purposes the first SC rollovers will land in accounts on 1 January 2027.

No SC will rollover this year for membership years ending:
- 31 August 2026
- 30 September 2026
- 31 October 2026
- 31 November 2026

It's unclear if people with membership anniversaries in these 4 months will need 1200 or 1400 to retain next year.

It’s stated by Qantas in their Q&As that the new retain levels kick in ‘later in 2027’.

If Qantas are playing fair then the higher retain targets shouldn't start until membership years ending 31 December 2027 / starting 1 January 2028.

Since the first cohort who start their next year with a rollover are those with membership years ending 31 December 2026 / starting 1 January 2027.

Expect more dates to be announced for further changes coming next year perhaps along with results releases and/or other big announcements like further updates on Sunrise.

We have no expectations. We're not pointy end flyers so to be honest that just doesn't bother us. All we want is a seat, a meal and a drink. We're well past the need to be downing drinks for the entirety of a flight. We can pay for an entire holiday with what J flights cost, but each to their own. However much I enjoy flying, a flight is just a means to a destination.

Oh, i meant its that bad as a full service that you need to bring your own food on board on top of their "meal" or you'll go hungry (or buy on board). Blueberry juice though is nice. Especially since they have the longer flight paths now with the war.

Best to buy some things at the airport ready for the journey as if you're taking a Jetstar journey (although you do get some food).

Sad really that the war hit AY that hard their cost cutting has really stripped bare their economy class.

With the “8 Dec” date out there. I’d assume that anniversary dates up to 30Nov ought to keep the low retain targets? With potential SC rollover next year (but only excess above 1400 SC for WP as an example).

Those with 01 Dec new year start dates might find it tough?

As SG, in 2026/27, I’m expecting to have a 600SC retain target, 100SC PCP rollover, and 50% of SCs in excess of 700SC count towards retaining SG in 2027/28 (assuming I won’t get to WP).

That could mean mid 2027 my target changes from 1200 to 1400 though They could have made it simple and said target only changes once you receive rollover credits.

> Status Credit rollover will become available to you starting in your next Membership Year, on 01 December 2026.

I think we'll get 100SC rollover from points club plus but it's not clear if we'll have the separate retain threshold yet.

You would think so, especially since they’ve said rollover credits are a sort of compensation for higher retain levels and the abolition of bonus SCs. I guess there’s a lot of moving parts in this one - PC, Green tier etc. So it’s probably going to be hard for them to have everyone change over equally at the same time.

I don' think you get the rollover of excess status credits

No, not in 2026/27 but in 2027/28 I should get 50% of any excess from 2026/27 (alongside a 700SC retain target).

They have indicated the single retain threshold won’t start until 2027, meaning 600SC should be it for SGs whose membership year ticks over later this year.
