That’s the key. Qualify before the official termination date and then run down the perks.

I’ve already requal’d PC thru to July 2027 and might hit PC+ before the end of July this year.

Technically, I could requal again for PC again in Aug to Nov and extend to Jul 2028 but that’s probably not possible for me…

This is my thinking too SYD. I am about 30k from PC+ year ending in May. If I could some how knock out another 150k by say Oct, then that would give PC until May 28 by the the letter of their vague waffle “late 26”

It will be a challenge but something to think about.

Potentially a dumb q, although I promise I have read through the entire thread to try and make sense of the situation. I am attempting to figure out whether its worth me chasing WP next membership year given that:

• My membership year ends June / resets July 1st
• Going to hit points club+ for the first time for the 100 rollover
• WP renewal will be 1200, minus the PC+ rollover so 1100

However with changes from "late 2026" - does this mean that I'll likely need to hit the new 1400 threshold in my next membership year? Or as I am reading that "each member's start date will depend on anniversary date of Membership Year" - should I interpret this as starting the year afterwards?

Its super murky (and I am usually extremely analytical and don't struggle working out things like this) so if there's nothing that I'm missing to come to a conclusion one way or the other, I'm happy to hear out any speculation too

So no closer, just that it will happen at some arbitrary point during 2027. Maybe I need to rush and front load my earn to the start of the membership year?

From late 2027, the number of status credits needed to retain your current Qantas Frequent Flyer tier will be increased to the same number needed to initially earn that status.

This won’t come into effect until late 2027, so there’s still plenty of time to retain your current status levels at existing rates.

My year reset yesterday and as expected received the 100 SC rollover and GT and PC+ reset to zero. PC+ is now showing as Expiry Feb 2026. I'll achieve PC+ in the next couple of days again so am keen to see what shows then.

Did you mean to write Feb 2027 for the current expiry of your PC+?

Possibly the Qantas IT not picking up the rollover. It should tick over in a day or two.

No, definitely reverted to Feb 2026, which was a surprise. I’ve requalified for PC+ today and it now says Feb 2027 again, so I wonder if there’s something tricky happening or it’s to do with a lag being the first day of my year.

I've requalified for platinum for this membership year (31/05). I would normally not put any more unnecessary spend towards QF but is it worthwhile now with the status credits rollover? I saw this doesn't come into effect till 'late 2026' but is there any indication whether it will be retrospective? Sorry if this has already been answered.

Guessing it probably won’t be retrospective, though in the unlikely event they relent on this like with the status credits handout last year, I suspect it would only be for 2-3 months before it kicks in.
