Yesterday's announcement of status credits has shaken up this offer! I have held this card twice now, finding the value it offers exceptional, and by signing up via a referral between now and 1 May, you'll receive as a once off:

  • 75,000 bonus points if you spend $1,500 in the first 3 months
  • 75 Bonus Status Credits where you book and fly return with Qantas by 30 September 2017
  • 0% on balance transfers for the first 12 months - with a 1% establishment fee

And then, in your first year, and every year, you get

  • A complimentary return flight on Qantas, after your first QF Air Australia spend (PM me for an easy way to do this),
  • Two Entries to the Amex Lounge at SYD Intl Airport
  • 1.5 Points per $1 on most spend, plus a bonus point on QF spend
  • Decent travel and purchase insurance.
  • To use Apple pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay
  • Up to 44 interest free days on purchases

This product has an annual fee of $450, which can be easily justified by the value of the included flight (which in my experience does earn qantas points and status credits).

The minimum credit limit for this product is $3,000 and it has a $65,000 minimum income requirement. Card Members who currently hold or who have previously held any Card product issued by American Express Australia Limited in the preceding 18 month period are ineligible for this offer. Bank-issued: (Australia New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Australia Bank, Westpac Banking Corporation) previous and existing American Express Cardholders are eligible for this offer.

If you're keen to jump on board before 11 April, by clicking this referral link you'll receive all of the above and I'd gain 40k points towards the next holiday for Mrs Excel & I. Thank you for your consideration!

NB: As always these offers are subject to change and this advice is general in nature, you should consider if the product is right for you and/or seek independent financial advice as appropriate :)

Re: Qantas Ultimate American Express: 75,000 Points, 75 Status Credits and Return Fli

Hi All!

While Mr NoName has cancelled his card, I still have mine so it would be remiss of my not to offer the fine members of the forum my referral link.

http://amex.com.au/refer/junel7Vts

The current offer for this great card is an excellent 75k bonus QFF points after spending $1,500. And of course if anyone is kind enough to use my link I’ll get 40k pts for myself which will be used both for the 2018 family trip to Italy as well as to shove in Mr NoNames face as proof that I can earn some points myself!!

Main features of this card are:
· $450 annual fee
· Free domestic return flight each year
· A couple of passes to the AMEX lounge in SYD
· Complimentary domestic and international travel insurance
· 0% p.a. balance transfer for 12months
· A great earn rate of 1.5pts per $ spent (except govt spend).

A key addition to this card is the offer of a bonus 75 qf status credits. This could be extremely handy for anyone looking for hit the next status level on the QFF program.

This is an excellent card with great signon bonus as well as a generous ongoing earn on spend. Definitely a big recommendation from me!

If I’ve managed to convince you to apply then doing so through my link will be very much appreciated!

Re: Qantas Ultimate American Express: 75,000 Points, 75 Status Credits and Return Fli

My Qantas American Express Ultimate Card is on death row, waiting for me to get through to the flight redemption team to book my free flight (have tried twice recently but given up after long wait times). But below is Mrs 2tall4Y’s link for the latest referral campaign:

http://amex.com.au/refer/alexah4trp

If you apply using this link by 1 May 2017, you can get 75,000 Qantas frequent flyer points and Mrs 2tall4Y will get 40,000. Full disclosure - the 75,000 points is the same as you would get without applying though a referral. However, you are benefitting other forum members by using these referrals, and chances are others will return the favour by using your referrals in the future (has certainly worked that way for me :)).

While the earn rate on this card has changed quite a bit (discussed here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ds/amex-qantas-ultimate-new-points-81527.html and here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....earning-changes-amex-issued-qantas-81354.html, possibly elsewhere too), the 1.5 points per dollar on non-government spend is likely to be among the most generous of any card if/when the other majors follow ANZ’s lead and stop issuing companion AMEX card. The other inclusions make this a generous offer, with the sign-up bonus, 75 bonus Qantas status credits and free flight (see below) easily making it worth the annual fee.

All the details and 'terms & conditions' of the offer are available by clicking the referral link, but the key points are summarised below.

  • Earn 75,000 Qantas Points when you apply by 1 May 2017, are approved and spend $1,500 in the first 3 months. Note that the terms and conditions state ‘Card Members who currently hold or who have previously held any Card product issued by American Express Australia Limited in the preceding 18 month period are ineligible for this offer’, though holders of Bank-issued American Express are eligible.
  • Earn 75 Bonus Status Credits when you book and fly return with Qantas by 30 September 2017
  • A complimentary Qantas domestic return Economy flight after your first Card spend on selected Qantas products and services
  • Earn 1.5 Qantas Points for every $1 spent on Card purchases, except spend at government bodies in Australia where you will earn 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent.

Other features of the card:

  • Complimentary access up to two entries per year to the American Express Lounge at Sydney International (Kingsford Smith) Airport T1.
  • 0% p.a. on balance transfers for the first 12 months — A one-off credit plan establishment fee of 1% applies to any balances transferred.
  • Complimentary domestic and overseas travel insurance
  • An annual fee of $450
  • An interest-free period of up to 44 days
  • Minimum credit limit of $3,000
  • Minimum (household) gross annual income requirement of $65,000

Don't forget, just because the post before you listed the details of the referral, doesn't mean you can get away with not listing those same details, as per the sub-forum rules.

Edit to add, a post may have been removed ;)

I suggest we consider changing the subforum rules then. We don't need to see the exact same offer and benefits every single time somone offers their referral code. It adds clutter to the thread without adding any value to anyone interested in using that referral.

I'd argue someone will choose a referral link of some who they know/like/who contributes to the forum. Or should I just copy one of the previous post's content and include my referral? Seems highly unnecessary, but then my post might be deleted for what? Duplication, copyright, or 'subforum rules'?

I will bring up your suggestion... however everyone else for the most part seems to be able to follow the rules.

This isn't the thread to discuss this, but I will pass on the feedback and leave it at that.

Re: Qantas Ultimate American Express: 75,000 Points, 75 Status Credits and Return Fli

Thank you to the forum member who used my referral link. A beautiful site greeted my eyes when I logged in this morning and saw the 40k referral bonus. Thank you very much! :D

Re: Qantas Ultimate American Express: 75,000 Points, 75 Status Credits and Return Fli

Ok so seeing as my card does not seem to have been cancelled after all despite receiving an annual fee refund and instructing them to close it, I might as well put this one out there again.

http://amex.com.au/refer/jameshAbX0

The QF AMEX Ultimate Card remains a fantastic card and probably still the best earning direct QFF pt card on the market at 1.5pts/$ on most spend & 2.5pts/$ on QF spend. Various other excellent features like insurances,0% balance transfer for 12mths offer, a couple of passes to the AMEX lounge at SYD. While the $450 annual fee is on the high side, it can be basically completely offset with the free return domestic flight each year that comes with the card. Direct QF spend (a flight purchase) is required to activate this however the AFF Brains Trust has uncovered a superb way to reduce the cost of unlocking this feature and happy to direct people to this via PM.

In addition, the current sign on bonus is a very decent 75,000 QF pts which will be given after spending$1,500 on the card. If anyone is kind enough to use my link I will also receive an very much appreciated40,000pts referral bonus.

My referral link is below and I certainly appreciate any use of it.

http://amex.com.au/refer/jameshAbX0

Cheers and enjoy the card!

The current sign on bonus is 75,000 QF pts after spending$1,500 on the card. If you use my link I will also receive 40,000pts referral bonus.

I sgned up to this card last december while holding the qantas premium card (using a refferal link from here) and the bonus points DID NOT POST! So be careful signing up while holding other amex cards appears they are cracking down on this now.
Some refferal bonus points would be nice to make up for the bonus points i did not get

Re: Qantas Ultimate American Express: 75,000 Points, 75 Status Credits and Return Fli

Happy Easter everyone!

American Express has rejigged their card recently. Now Qantas Ultimate American Express earns 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent (except Govt spending).

You will get 75000 bonus Qantas points when applying by 1 May 2017, and spend $1500 in first 3 months.

They also throw in 75 Qantas status credits if you book and fly with Qantas by 30 September 2017. Great to get to Qantas Silver, Gold or Platinum elite status.

What's more, you get a Free Qantas domestic return flight as well every year. Plus free access to American Express Lounge at Sydney International Airport twice a year.

Annual fee is $450, but you get 75000 Qantas points + Free Qantas domestic return flight + free twice yearly access to Amex Lounge. This is fantastic value. This is especially true that you earn 1.5 Qantas points per dollar spent.

I will get 40000 points if you apply through the referral link below. However it is a win win scenario and I am sure you will agree.
