Qantas Travel pass - Get Cash value?

Rather than start a new thread, anyone know if there is a way I can use a credit and a travelpass on the same booking..... That said it doesn't even look like my credit will work for flight to Santiago.... Don't really want to call them, but have $1000 as a credit and $2000 as a travelpass. On a dummy booking i can easily bring up the payment options for the travelpass. Credit is different, I'm just going to assume that its not possible or require a call that i can't be bothered making and use it for another trip sometime.

If against your credit (original booking ref) it says 'this voucher cannot be used online' then you have to call them to use. At that point, yes you can combine it with a travel pass. If you don't want to hassle then you can use only the travel pass yourself for a single online booking.

It can be used online, as its letting me click on it and select all sorts of destinations. Just not Santiago.... Although thats on a LATAM codeshare so there may be something in that. Its $4700 for return J and that a good price on that route and don't want to lose it.... I'll just shelve it the $1k credit expires Dec 2023, but the travelpass is this year with double SC's. I can use the credit for a long weekend away sometime.

Yes there is another thread re these flight being cancelled March through October (the low season).

In general yes, you should be able to use a Travel Pass with a flight credit. Since it is treated as a form of payment then outstanding fare component not covered by flight credit will need to be paid for - and this is where TP should be acceptable as form of payment.

I think if you start the booking process saying you want to use a credit you can then add a travel pass later in the booking payment process as the supplementary payment. If you start it as a normal booking I don’t think you can then apply the credit (at least I couldn’t see how you could apply the credit later in a recent booking)
