DPO record [while I've been there] for a Q400 turnaround (71 pax on incoming, 65 on out) = 14 mins :) :)

Excellent! (Of course I was referring to an average when I stated 20 to 25 min.) I guess it is one of the reasons why the Q400 is such an effective aircraft on regional routes. JV

Heard on the radio this morning from some union leader complaining Qantas was leaving Hobart completely, which is completely not correct as far as I've read.

If they're going to lie it doesn't say much about them.

I don't know what the Qantas' ownership of QantasLink is (I'm sure some-one will remind me), but as of May-June-ish, there will only be QantasLink flights into HBA (as opposed to "Qantas"), and current Qantas staff are being retrenched and replaced with QantasLink contractors. Sounds like a complete exit to me.

The comment on local news was that "Qantas is no longer a national carrier". Sounds correct to me.

To me, they're the same thing.

The only thing national about QF is the Qantas Sale Act.

It's flying in a "bermuda triangle" dead zone created by bureaucrats!

Qantas have not left Hobart completely as we know, operationally its a different story to claim a presence when ground ops are done by contractors and planes and crew run by a company that has an annual revenue of 3.4B$ and has been paying dividends recently. We need to remember these are QFLink services not operated by QFlink.
