Just read where Qantas is to slash jobs and services due to fuel price.
I am not so well versed in their operating proceedures and costs.

Would not this be a time to offer more FF seats after all you are paying all the taxes(and a bit more I think).
Maybe instead of trying to rob people all the time and Qantas does it so blatantly. Offer a (International) a flat $200 fee whether it be Singapore or London to cover on board costs. Then at the sa,e time shave your prices a little bit and encourage people to fly with you.
But maybe tat is just a bit friendle, and to me that is something that CEO Dixon could never be accused of.

Cause there is no ADL base now, does that mean AVV-ADL is now gone?
Considering the A320 that does ADL-AVV-SYD-AVV-ADL(last flight for the day) is based in Adelaide

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

But the problem is not that there are not enough people flying. Their seat load factor remains very strong. The problem is that their costs are steadily rising and fares are not. So selling more seats for lower fares is not going to help the real problem. The solution is that they need people to be willing to pay the higher fares required to cover the higher costs, or they need to reduce their costs somehow. It seems to me that they are trying to address both of these in areas which are somewhat under their control.

Probably not, more that Aircaft will be based elsewhere, say in AVV and do AVV-ADL-AVV-SYD-AVV and another do AVV-SYD-AVV-ADL-AVV ...

Having lots of members with huge amounts of points amounts to a considerable liability. I think it's good business sense to give members the opportunity to use huge amounts of points in one hit, be it on a pair of first class seats to JFK, or a big LCD TV. I'm not sure that I would use upward of 3M points on a reward, but hey, I'm sure they'll get some bites at that end of the spectrum.

So should I stop booking the red e deals that are going for inter Australian travel at the moment!
